Gladeville. Posted July 28, 2012. Here is my pistol pack to include a 15" barrel. I bought this at FT Hood in 1980. Unfortunately the actual pistol was stolen with the 2" barrel in 1986. I picked up another Monsoon,MA frame in 1989. The 2" barrel sported on the pistol now came from CZ/Dan Wesson about two years ago.Revolver Identification. Just picked up a Dan Wesson Arms revolver. Monson, Mass. USA. I'm trying to figure out what model and year it is. It is a 6 inch nickel plated .357/.38 (barrel shroud says .38 special, but, a .357 will drop into the cylinder. It has the plastic grips and the serial number is 26526.Pistols – The serial number is located on the side of the frame. Sigma series – The serial number is located on the frame under the front of the handgun. SW99 – The serial number is located on the frame at the rear of the pistol. The Serial contains letter prefixes and numbers which are significant in outlining the manufacturing date.
